Level 2: Readers can sound out most words with little help. Books contain easy words, simple sentences and lots of pictures. Different Level 1 books are available for grades K-2 and for grades 3-6. Study Zone Plus reading levels are: Pre-Level 1: Readers recognize letter sounds and are beginning to sound out words. Students may continue longer if no other students are waiting for a turn.

Each student can expect 30 minutes with a Reading Buddy. Reading Buddies focus on: Pronunciation and pacing as students read Reading and conversation for English language learners Reading comprehension Reading Buddies work with one or two students at a time. The book selection changes every two weeks. Reading Buddies share library eBooks on-screen. Volunteers help students practice reading out loud. Register once for the entire series. There will be one Zoom link that will be emailed weekly. Leave with a screen-free activity to do after the session and share with the group the following week.
